B737-500 in Ireland

This aircraft was the first aircraft AELS bought with external financing. The aircraft was first operated by Air France (F-GJND) when it started flying in 1991. In 2007 Air Namibia started operating the aircraft after it was bought by lessor Capex Leasing. AELS purchased the aircraft from Compass Capital, who bought it from the lessor Capex Leasing. When the aircraft was 22 years old it was flown to Ireland. AELS disassembled and dismantled the aircraft there. It was the first aircraft disassembled by AELS in Ireland, adding a 9th country to our track record.
