In mid-2014 AELS took on the disassembly and recycling of the 35-years-old Boeing 747-200F, which was parked at Luxembourg airport since September 2008.

The 'Woendrecht Bode', a local newspaper, keeps its readers updated about recent developments at Business Park Aviolanda every other week. In their latest issue they reported about AELS.

Derk-Jan van Heerden, AELS General Manager and Deputy Director of AFRA, shared his view about AFRA Best Management Practices (BMP) guide in the Airline Fleet Management (AFM) publication of August 2014 about: New methods in aircraft recycling.

On the 15th of September there will be a symposium at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, it is called: ‘The Basics of Aircraft Leasing in a Changing Environment’ Derk-Jan van Heerden will be one of the speakers.

From May 20th until 25th the ILA Berlin Airshow will be held in the ‘Berlin ExpoCenter Airport’. On the 20th there will be a conference (ILA Conference Center, hall 5) were Derk-Jan van Heerden will be one of the speakers.

In the February-March issue of Aircraft Technology Engineering & Maintenance (file attached) you can find the article 'From cradle to cradle: The aim of the aircraft recycling industry' where AELS is called 'one of the best-known names in the business'.

In the February issue of 'Milieumagazine' AELS was mentioned in the article 'Vliegtuig als Materialenbron', which roughly means: 'Aircraft as material source' (unfortunately this article is only in Dutch).

Last Sunday on a sunny afternoon five of our colleagues participated the 10K of the ‘CPC Loop 2014’ in The Hague. We congratulate Johan, Bastiaan, Anco, Daniel and Derk-Jan with this achievement!
